Cardinal Institute Applauds Progress in Key Legislative Priorities

Charleston, WV – The Cardinal Institute for West Virginia Policy is encouraged by the progress of bills through “crossover day” that align with the Institute’s legislative priorities announced in January.

“Building on the momentum of reforms in recent years, we are pleased to see the West Virginia Legislature continuing to advance sound policy ideas that make the Mountain State a more attractive location,” said Jessi Troyan, the Director of Policy and Research for the Cardinal Institute. “We are encouraged by the progress on issues such as certificate of need reform in healthcare, tax reform, and protection of educational freedom.”

“Taken together, these policies improve the quality of life for West Virginians throughout every stage of their lives. We encourage lawmakers to continue and complete legislative action in these priority areas,” Troyan continued.
